Beyond Traditions: A World of Opportunities

Registration is now open for the SOA Asia-Pacific Annual Symposium, the SOA's signature event in Asia. Taking place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this symposium provides a learning and networking platform for members and non-members to share their experiences in the actuarial profession, the finance and insurance industries, as well as other fields that relate to actuaries in the Asia-Pacific. Experts will discuss current topics and issues in a wide range of areas, as well as share their insight on topics such as the opportunity for non-traditional roles.

The symposium will offer:

    • Diverse and professional sessions to share best practices and help attendees better prepare for future developments;

This year, the SOA is honored to receive support from the Actuarial Society of Malaysia (ASM) and Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM) for this event. We are also pleased to welcome Yew Khuen Yoon, director of insurance development of the Bank Negara Malaysia, and Jeremy J. Brown, FSA, MAAA, president of the SOA, as keynote speakers. Gary Hoo, president of ASM, and a representative of PIAM will be giving welcome remarks.
